إلى ما قبل ٢،٥ مليون سنة، تشكلت جبال القارة وذلك حسبما ورد عن الجيولوجيون.
فهي تعتبر من أبرز المعالم السياحية بمحافظة الأحساء. ويبعد عن العاصمة الإداريّة للأحساء، الهفوف بمسافة ١٢ كيلو متر. كما يتميّز بموقعه المطل على لفيف الأشجار والبساتين الخضراء.
وما يذكر حول هذه الجبال بأنها تتضمن اثنتي عشر مغارة بداخلها، تختلف في الشكل والطول وتتميّز ببرودة جوّها الداخلي في فصل الصيف ودفئها في فصل الشتاء.
As far as 2.5 million years ago, the mountains of the continent were formed, according to geologists. It is considered one of the most prominent tourist attractions in Al-Ahsa Governorate. It is 12 km away from the administrative capital of Al-Ahsa, Hofuf. It is also characterized by its location overlooking the green trees and orchards.What is mentioned about these mountains is that they include twelve caves inside, which differ in shape and length and are characterized by the coldness of their internal atmosphere in a season.
